Flight Instruction is available to members. Ground School Instruction is open to the public.

Next Classes start first week of January 2010. A minimum number of students must be enrolled or a class may be canceled.

Ground Schools in Kalamazoo

Private Pilot

We offer a 10 week ground school Tuesday evenings from 6-9pm. This class in not only good for pilots but non-pilot spouses and significant others who fly. It can serve as your main source for completing the Private Pilot FAA written exam or as a pinch hitter course for a non flyer. $550 + books and materials

Sport Pilot

We have not yet begun to offer sport pilot ground schools but plan to do so in the near future. Please check back for more details.

Instrument Pilot/CFII

We offer an 8 week Instrument Pilot Course on thursday evenings from 6-9pm and have a simulator available to jump start instrument training regardless of the weather. Cost $550 + Books and Materials (simulator additional $85 /hour with instructor)

CFI Ground School

We offer an 8 week CFI ground school Wenesday evenings from 6-9pm. CFI’s must have completed FIA and FOI exams prior to registering for the course. It is also required that all prerequiste knowledge of Private through Commercial Pilot is obtained as this class focuses on real life instructing scenarios not the basics of aeronutical knowledge and information. Cost $550 + Books and Materials.
