I started Fly Kalamazoo in 2004. It has a simple goal of safely sharing the dream of flight and my knowledge and experience with as many people as possible. The idea came about during my career in the airlines. I got into commercial airline flying and realized how much I missed the small plane flying and the freedom that goes with it.
I really enjoy flying with others and sharing the knowledge and skills I have obtained over the years. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment and success to see a new student embark on a solo flight or pass an FAA flight check for the first time. There is nothing quite like it for both the student and I.
